Joy School by Elizabeth Berg
Joy School is sweet but not outstanding. It moves quickly and the lead character is charming. Apparently it’s a sequel to another of Berg’s books, but it certainly wasn’t necessary to know that. The only thing it might have explained better was the father character who was threatening but shadowy. Berg does a good job of impersonating a young girl’s thoughts and feelings. Overall an enjoyable read.
