Velocity by Dean Koontz
Worst. Koontz. Book. Ever.
He’s never come out with such a clunker before. God, Velocity was awful. I had to force my way through it. The harder he tried to be suspenseful, the less interesting the whole thing was. It was so ridiculously contrived, for one thing. Mind reading monsters are more believable than this scenario. Then there were the two sentence paragraphs. I’m sure they were supposed to impart “velocity” to the writing but they just made me tired. It was like skimming instead of reading. Plus, the girlfriend in a coma thing has been so done before. Get a new schtick. Ugh, this was bad.
