Kellie is one of the “cool girls” on rec.climbing. She goes places, does stuff, carries a man-sized pack, and outclimbs her partners. She thinks I inspired her back when she was starting but she passed me by a long time ago. I was glad to show her around the Gunks but sorry we got such a poor day for it. It was one of those foggy\/drizzly days where all the rock is damp, so we kept it light. Towards the end of the day it dried up enough for Kellie to lead Something Interesting and me to show off my fearlessness by climbing past the brass nut placement on the P1 of Birdie Party without clipping it. I hope she comes back some day when we can do the area more justice.<\/p>\n
